With his Kind of Blue series, Frank Grimm transforms Polaroids into cyanotypes and the real world
into a dreamlike world, taking us back to the dawn of photography. The use of this ancient process gives
the hand-made prints uniqueness and originality. No two images will be the same. It is a
symbiosis of photography and painting, with light and iron.

Frank Grimm è un fotografo e artista tedesco il cui lavoro affonda le sue radici in radici profonde, sia
familiari che naturali. Cresciuto in una famiglia operaia, suo padre costruiva navi in acciaio in un
cantiere navale, mentre sua madre creava stampe artistiche in bianco e nero stampate a mano.
Questa dualità tra industria e artigianato ha plasmato il suo percorso fin dall'inizio: precisione e
lavoro da una parte, visione artistica dall'altra.

Frank Grimm is a German photographer and artist whose work is deeply rooted in both
familial and natural roots. Raised in a working-class family, his father built steel ships in a
shipyard, while his mother created hand-printed black-and-white artistic prints.
This duality between industry and craftsmanship has shaped his path from the beginning: precision and
work on the one hand, artistic vision on the other.
