VENEZUELA

Rafael Barrios, artista venezuelano nato nel 1947 a Baton Rouge, USA, ha studiato Belle Arti in Venezuela, Canada e Stati Uniti. Vincitore del premio “Pintura Juvenil Nacional” nel 1963, ha proseguito gli studi al Ontario College of Art di Toronto con onori in Arte Puro e Comunicazione e Design e completato corsi post‑laurea a New York. Ha lavorato come direttore artistico per l’UNESCO e scenografo internazionale. Le sue opere comprendono murali e sculture pubbliche in Venezuela e negli USA, esposte in Europa, Americhe e Medio Oriente e incluse in collezioni permanenti prestigiose.

Rafael Barrios, a Venezuelan artist born in 1947 in Baton Rouge, USA, studied Fine Arts in Venezuela, Canada, and the United States. Winner of the “National Youth Painting” award in 1963, he continued at the Ontario College of Art in Toronto with honors in Pure Art and Communication and postgraduate studies in New York. He worked as Art Director for UNESCO and as an international stage designer. His work includes murals and public sculptures in Venezuela and the USA, exhibited in Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East, and held in prestigious permanent collections.
