Matteo Basilé (1974) vive e lavora a Roma.
Artista tra i più visionari della sua generazione, è stato tra i primi in Europa a fondere arte e tecnologia, dando vita a un linguaggio personale che supera i confini tra discipline, epoche e culture. La sua ricerca, attiva dalla metà degli anni ’90, è un’indagine continua sull’identità e sull’immagine, sull’essere umano e sulla sua rappresentazione.

Il suo lavoro si struttura come un racconto in capitoli – vere e proprie visioni sequenziali – che affrontano il senso dell’identità e dell’esistenza in un’epoca segnata dalla trasformazione.
La sua poetica è fondata sull’ibridazione: tra corpo e paesaggio, tra umano e artificiale

Matteo Basilé (born 1974) lives and works in Rome.
A visionary artist of his generation, Basilé was among the first in Europe to merge art and technology, developing a singular visual language that transcends disciplines, epochs, and cultures. Since the mid-1990s, his work has been a continuous investigation into identity and image, into the human condition and its evolving representation.
His artistic practice unfolds as a narrative in chapters — true sequential visions — that delve into the meaning of identity and existence in an era shaped by constant transformation.
