Le fotografie portate in fiera appartengono a una serie realizzata tra il 2019 e il 2025. Un racconto di New York costruito attraverso colori, dettagli, contraddizioni e ironia quotidiana. La città appare come un organismo in continuo movimento, un teatro di energie che avvolgono ogni cosa. Flash e colore diventano strumenti per isolare frammenti di realtà e guidare lo sguardo, rivelando l’inaspettato dietro ogni angolo e la sottile tensione tra apparenza e verità.

These photographs belong to a series created between 2019 and 2025. A narrative of New York built through colours, details, contradictions and everyday irony. The city appears as an organism in constant motion, a stage of energies that surround everything. Flash and colour become tools to isolate fragments of reality and guide the viewer’s gaze, revealing the unexpected behind every corner and the subtle tension between appearance and truth.

Lucia Buricelli (Venezia, 1994) vive tra Venezia e Milano. Inizia a fotografare al liceo esplorando le calli veneziane, avvicinandosi alla street photography. Nel 2017-2018 frequenta un corso di fotogiornalismo all’International Center of Photography di New York, dove sviluppa una narrazione di taglio documentaristico. Il suo lavoro si concentra sugli spazi urbani, utilizzando flash e colore per selezionare e amplificare dettagli del reale. Le sue immagini sono state pubblicate su The New York Times, The New Yorker, Time, Vogue e Financial Times.

Lucia Buricelli (Venice, 1994) lives between Venice and Milan. She began photographing in high school, exploring Venice’s narrow streets, with street photography as her first approach. In 2017–2018 she attended a photojournalism course at the International Center of Photography in New York, where she developed a documentary-driven narrative. Her work focuses on urban spaces, using flash and colour to highlight and select details from reality. Her images have been published in The New York Times, The New Yorker, Time, Vogue and Financial Times.
