Il Deadvlei in Namibia, il cui nome significa letteralmente "palude morta", è una depressione di argilla bianca circondata da alcune delle dune più alte del mondo, che raggiungono anche i 300 metri. Campigotto ritrae questo ambiente emblema delle trasformazioni climatiche che si sono avvicendate nel corso dei millenni con il suo tipico stime analitico e assieme visionario che compone un'immagine che si presta a molteplici livelli di lettura e riflessione. Una scena documentaria e contemporaneamente immaginifica, che può testimoniare l'oggi in modo inedito e fortemente suggestivo.

The Deadvlei in Namibia, whose name literally means “dead marsh,” is a white clay pan surrounded by some of the highest dunes in the world, rising up to 300 meters. Campigotto portrays this environment—an emblem of the climatic transformations that have unfolded over millennia—through his distinctive analytical and visionary style, creating an image that lends itself to multiple layers of interpretation and reflection.
