In Kamiyama, Kim Boske esplora il rapporto quasi simbiotico tra il fiume, il paesaggio e gli abitanti dell'isola giapponese di Tokushima, riflettendo il delicato equilibrio tra natura e vita umana. Boske riunisce diverse prospettive del fiume Kamiyama, dalle sue dolci correnti ai suoi movimenti più impetuosi. In Kamiyama, Kim Boske explores the near-symbiotic relationship between the river, the landscape, and the people of the Japanese Island Tokushima —reflecting the delicate balance between nature and human life. Boske brings together various perspectives of the Kamiyama river, from its gentle currents to its more powerful movements. This resulted in images that offer a poetic interpretation, through which she visualizes the complexity and interrelationship of the environment with the water.

Kim Boske (Paesi Bassi, 1978) ha studiato alla Royal Academy of Art dell'Aia, dove ha conseguito la laurea triennale nel 2005. Nel 2011 è stata finalista all'Hyères Photography Festival in Francia. Ha ricevuto diverse borse di studio dal Mondriaan Fund, dall'Amsterdam Fund for the Arts (AFK) ed è stata più volte artista in residenza a Kamiyama, in Giappone. Le sue opere sono state ampiamente esposte in musei, tra cui il Foam Fotografiemuseum di Amsterdam, il Fotomuseum Winterthur in Svizzera e lo Shanghai Himalayas Museum in Cina. A settembre la sua monografia Kamiyama sarà esposta allo Stedelijk Museum di Amsterdam.

Kim Boske (The Netherlands, 1978) studied at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, from which she received her BA in 2005. In 2011 she was a finalist at the Hyères Photography Festival in France. She has received several grants from the Mondriaan Fund, the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts (AFK) and multiple times an artist-in-residence in Kamiyama, Japan. Her work has been exhibited extensively in museums including Foam Fotografiemuseum Amsterdam; Fotomuseum Winterthur, Switzerland; Shanghai Himalayas Museum, China. In September her Monograph Kamiyama is exhibited at Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam.
