Che cosa significa vedere? Per me, contemplare la bellezza integrale dei fiori diventa rapidamente una metafora per guardare più in profondità dentro di sé. Togliete via i costumi colorati, le narrazioni costruite, e inizierete a vedere il mondo come lo vedo io. Guardare oltre l’ovvio, lasciando che l’integrità della forma vi attiri. Come questi fiori, siamo anime nude che esprimono una firma unica, spesso inosservata. Dico sempre: La vita accade in un battito di ciglia. Camminate con me e, quando lo fate, cercate di non battere le palpebre. Concedetevi di vedere ciò che potreste aver perso.

What is it to see? For me, to contemplate the integral beauty of flowers swiftly becomes a metaphor for looking deeper at oneself. Take away all the colorful costumes, the crafted narratives, and you will begin to see the world as I do. To look beyond the obvious, letting the integrity of the form draw you in. Like these flowers, we are bare souls displaying a unique signature; one which may remain unnoticed and unseen. I say, “Life happens in the blink of an eye.” Walk with me, and when you do, try not to blink. Allow yourself to see what you may be missing.

Walt Disney Imagineer, Kathy Corday, is a gifted fine art photographer who invites us to see beyond the surfaces of our everyday world. Her latest series, ‘Structural Integrity”, captures the soulful essence of flowers in their meditative moments of dramatic stillness. Her lens strips away the commonplace to examine the core of their being. With the absence of their color or full form, we find ourselves compelled to interact with her subjects on our own terms revealing our own perspectives and aesthetic.
